Review: Chander Pahar – Movie

Today, I had the opportunity to watch Chander Pahar, here in Kolkata at the Inox theater in Forum Mall, along with a good friend. Though the lead actor in the movie easily isn’t one of my most favourite actors in Bengali cinema, but I was still pretty much eager to watch the movie primary because of two reasons:

  • I had read the original novel of the same name by Bibhutibhusan Bandopadhyay when I was literally a child. I loved it!
  • Bengali film industry hadn’t seen such a movie before.

I’d say I wasn’t entirely disappointed by this flick, and it in fact deserves a lot of praise for a few things.

It’s been more than a month…

It’s been more than a month since the last blog post. Meanwhile, I have published this epic guide on improving Domain Authority at the beginning of last month. I then had exams starting from the later stages of the last month which came to an end today. Exams went pretty horribly so I’m having to think hard about my current studying strategy, and ways to improve my academic learning. Actually, the problem is more of the faulty Indian Education System than mine. I’ll talk about that later. 🙂

Sixteen – does that sound cool?

So, I’ve turned 16 a few minutes ago. To be honest, I don’t remember too much of the 15th year of my life. Apart from getting seriously interested in SEO and delivering a performance in the board exams in February which was due since my birth, I don’t really remember many other things.

Religious Crap

So, it’s all festive mood here. And this dumb locality has successfully screwed up my brain for, I assume, these four days, 10th to 13th of October. I seriously don’t know why they’re given permission to play crappy music and even more annoying mantra recitations on loud speakers…

These people are so unevolved, so unevolved, that they probably don’t even think of using headphones instead. Also, something as useless and as unscientific as mantra recitation (that too with major flaws, very few people actually know Sanskrit to the core) is enjoyed, rather in fear, by literally millions of people.

I’ve recorded a small clip (when I was inside my room), and you can get a feel of the sound coming on through my windows. Pathetically annoying or not, your call:
